What we tear down.
Demolition and teardown is the muscle half of a cleanout. Some things do not just get carried out - they have to come apart first. We dismantle freestanding and outdoor structures in place, break them down to haulable pieces, load them, and clear the site. You are left with a clean pad or an open yard.
We handle light, non-structural demolition: sheds, decks, fences, hot tubs, above-ground pools, playsets, concrete slabs and patios, and the tear-out of old flooring, carpet, and paneling. We do not take on structural or whole-building demolition, load-bearing walls, foundations under a standing building, or anything that needs an engineered permit - for that we will point you to a licensed demolition contractor. Hazardous material like asbestos is a licensed-abatement job, not ours.

Shed removal, teardown & demolition
Wood and metal sheds dismantled on site and hauled away, contents included if you want those gone too. The pad is left clear and swept, ready for sod, gravel, or whatever goes there next.
Where a shed is too far gone or too storm-damaged to come apart panel by panel, it turns into a shed demolition instead of a careful dismantle, and it gets taken down in place. Same for lean-tos, carports, and small detached outbuildings. What we do not do is anything load-bearing, permitted, or attached to the house.
Deck teardown & fence removal
Decks, porches, stairs, and railings cut down and removed, with footings pulled where they come out cleanly. The lumber leaves the same day rather than sitting in your driveway waiting on a second company.
Fence removal covers wood, chain link, and vinyl, and the posts come out with it rather than getting snapped off at ground level. Pergolas, arbors, and shade structures come down the same way, including anchored and house-attached builds.
Hot tub & above-ground pool removal
Hot tubs and swim spas get drained and cut down in place, including off a raised deck or out of a fenced back yard where nothing wide is getting through the gate. Access is the part that decides the price, so it gets looked at before we quote.
Above-ground pools come apart panel by panel, liner and frame together, and the footprint is left raked rather than left as a ring of dead grass and hardware. It is one of the most-requested teardowns we run.
Concrete slab removal
Old patios, walkways, sidewalks, front and back steps, and the pads left under a shed, a hot tub, or an air conditioner. The slab gets broken out, loaded, and taken away, and the ground underneath is left raked rather than left as a crater full of rubble.
This is flatwork and pads, which is the non-structural side of concrete. A footing or foundation holding up a building that is still standing is not our work, and neither is anything that needs an engineered permit. Concrete is heavy, so a slab is quoted after we have seen it or seen a photo, and it gets priced by weight rather than by how much room it takes in the truck.
Flooring & paneling tear-out
The inside half of light demolition. Old flooring, carpet and pad, subfloor, wall paneling, and trim pulled out and hauled off so the room is clear for the new install instead of the installers working around a pile.
Cabinets, countertops, and vanities come out the same way. This is non-structural work only, so no wall comes down without an engineer and a permit behind it, and that is not what we sell.
Demolition debris removal
For a teardown somebody else already did. We load and dispose of the pile so your crew stays on the build rather than spending a day running trailers to the transfer station.
If the demo is already done and you only need the material gone, this is the faster and cheaper half of the job. Clean metal and reusable lumber get pulled out and recycled or salvaged where we can.

Backyard shed, down to dirt
An old backyard shed emptied, dismantled by hand, and carried out in pieces. What is left is the bare footprint, ready for sod, gravel, or a new build. Nothing heavy drove across the yard to do it.
Pergola off a patio
A weathered pergola coming off a stamped patio without touching the hot tub, the planters, or the deck stairs behind it. Posts cut free, beams brought down in sections, hardware pulled, and the patio swept clear.
And then it leaves with us.
This is one shed, loaded. Shingles, siding, framing lumber, roof decking, and the floor it sat on, stacked into the truck in one trip. There is no pile left in the driveway waiting on a second company, and no dumpster parked on your street for a week.
Clean metal and reusable lumber get pulled out and salvaged or recycled where we can. The rest goes to the proper disposal facility. Teardown labor and haul-off are the same flat quote, so the number you get before we start is the number at the end.

How much does demolition or teardown cost in Peoria?
Teardown is priced by volume, the same as our hauling - the labor to take it apart plus how much space the debris fills in the truck. A small fence or single shed can start around $250 to $400. A large deck, hot tub, or above-ground pool runs higher based on size and labor. We give a firm quote before we start, with demo and haul-off in one price and no surprise dump fees at the end.
Do you do structural or whole-house demolition?
No. We handle light, non-structural teardown - sheds, decks, fences, hot tubs, pools, playsets, concrete patios and walkways, and pulling old flooring or paneling. We do not take down load-bearing walls, whole buildings, foundations under a standing building, or anything that needs an engineered demolition permit. For structural demolition we will point you to a licensed demolition contractor.
Can you break out and remove a concrete slab or patio?
Yes. It stays flatwork and pads - a foundation under a building that is still standing is a licensed structural job, not ours. Can you remove a hot tub or above-ground pool?
Yes. Hot tubs and spas get drained and dismantled in place, and above-ground pools come apart panel by panel. We haul every piece and leave the pad or the ground clear. It is one of our most-requested teardown jobs.
Do you tear down old sheds and decks?
Yes - old sheds, outbuildings, decks, porches, pergolas, and fences are all standard teardown work. We break them down by hand, load the lumber and hardware, and clear the footprint. If the shed still has junk inside, we clear that out too.
Do you handle asbestos or other hazardous material?
No. Asbestos, wet paint, solvents, fuels, and other hazardous waste require a licensed abatement or hazmat contractor by law. We take the standard non-hazardous teardown debris - wood, metal, vinyl, composite, and the rest. If you are unsure about a material, just ask when you call.
Is teardown different from your construction debris removal?
Yes. With construction debris removal we haul off a pile you or your contractor already tore out. With teardown, we do the taking-apart too - we dismantle the structure and then haul it. If the demo is already done and you just need the pile gone, construction debris removal is the faster, cheaper option.
